Hi Mami, I’m Vivian — and I’m so happy you’re here.
I’m a German mama to a sweet toddler, married to an Italian, and living in a multicultural home where German, Italian, and English are part of our everyday life.
Languages, cultures, and different perspectives have shaped who I am — and they also shaped how I experienced pregnancy and early motherhood.
Even though I am German, I went through my pregnancy far away from my hometown, my family, and my support system — over 600 km away, in a big city where nothing felt familiar.
And even for me, with German as my native language, it was overwhelming at times.
But I kept thinking about something:
If this already feels intense for me… how does it feel for moms who don’t speak German?
How do international moms manage all the forms, rules, appointments, and emotional challenges — while living in a country that’s not their own?
That question stayed with me and slowly grew into a idea.
That idea became MamiHero.
Why I created MamiHero
I wanted to build a warm, welcoming space where English-speaking moms in Germany can find:
♡ clear and simple explanations
♡ real stories and emotional support
♡ helpful guides for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum
♡ connection with other international moms
♡ the feeling of “I’m not doing this alone”
Motherhood in a new country is beautiful — but it can also be confusing and isolating.
My goal is to make it easier, softer, and more supportive for you.
